The “Environmentally Sustainable Agricultural Sciences” department is one of 11 departments at the University of Kassel and is located in Witzenhausen. This program reflects more than 100 years of a tradition of agricultural education.
Countless research enterprises in tropical and sub-tropical regions, partnerships, and personal contacts to local universities and institutes demand the international orientation.
Special emphasis is placed on the systematic relationships between soil, plant, animal, humans, and technology, and over 900 students are enrolled in the various courses.
